Robert D. Sarow Named Trustee Emeritus

At the June, 2016 Board of Trustees Meeting, the contributions of Robert D. Sarow to The Kantzler Foundation were recognized and he was named Trustee Emeritus of the Leopold J. Kantzler Foundation. Mr. Sarow was a young attorney in the early 1970s and encouraged his client, Mr. Leopold J. Kantzler to establish a charitable foundation – and then worked to facilitate its creation.

Mr. Sarow also served as secretary to The Kantzler Foundation from its inception in 1974 until 2008, then as a Trustee from 2008 to 2015.

Community Impact

testimonial author Michael Bacigalupo - State Theatre of Bay City

"The Kantzler Foundation has generously supported the State Theatre of Bay City with grants to help fund multiple projects to keep the theatre on the cutting edge of technology, and its original renovation.
From the digital marquee which adorns the Washington Avenue entrance to the high tech lighting and sound system to the original renovation that was started in early 2000, the Kantzler Foundation has always been there to help, and to keep the State Theatre the 'Gem of Bay City'.
Without their help not only at the State Theatre but in the entire Great Lakes Bay Region, some projects would not even get off the ground. The Kantzler Foundation is truly a gift to the community and will always be appreciated for the generous grants and opportunities throughout the Bay City area and the Great Lakes Bay region."
